My husband and I are considering moving to the Virginia Beach/Chesapeake area for his job. We are still a few years away from worrying about school (we have an infant) but I'm curious as to which district is considered the best for the area?

Thank you!!

It really depends on who you talk to, at what time. I would say look in Virginia Beach the kempsville area. Kempsville High and Tallwood High are great schools and have wonderful neighborhoods around them. Low crime, schools where kids pass SOL's, tons of things to do. All the neighborhoods are older done in the 60's or 70's with some new homes just built. If you are renting it runs somewhere around $900 to $2000 a month. To buy homes are $200,000 +.

That is just what I like. Other would tell you what they like or where they live.

If you don't know what to do I advise rent someplace for a year or two until you get to know the area better.

Good luck with your move.
