This is a surface-level Christian school. Favoritism is more evident than fairness in many cases. Those who seek a far-right approach with strong Calvinist tendencies will support this type of school. Those who do not experience their faith in this way will be made to feel not-so-Christian and will be disappointed. Anyone who does not vote conservative Republican will be second-class from the beginning.
This school is not technologicaly friedndly at all. They say they are up to date with everything. But they are not. Do not send your child here if your child loves technology.
We have been involved with the school for six years. Our children have and are currently enrolled at WCA. As a parent I can't say enough about the value of educating your children and WCA is excellent at it. The approach with the families~ school officials and keeping the child at the center is fantastic! The teachers know who our children are and what their strengths and weaknesses are. They have helped our children find their God given potential and set them in that direction. It is a wonderful family atmosphere with the children learning acceptance, compassion and Christlike ways~ There are times we wonder if we can "afford" the tuition BUT after we look at our children we know we can't afford not to send them to WCA. Hands down it without a doubt it is the best Williamsburg has to offer in private education!!!!!
Our family has been attending Williamsburg Christian Academy for 9 years now. We are very pleased with the education our children are getting at the school. They are excelling in academics and are well rounded with involvement in athletics, music, and fine arts, and are given many opportunites for leadership development. WCA is like a family. The staff and teachers have one focus - to provide a top quality education for our children that is Christ-centered. My children have a strong foundation in their faith that continues to be nurtured at this school. We are thankful that WCA is a choice we have for education here in Williamsburg.
I am a parent of three children who attend WCA and have enjoyed every minute of their experience. The friendships that the students form are those that really embody the word friend. The teachers ensure the students are very productive throughout the day and one can feel the love and caring attitude the teachers have for the students. God is doing something very special in those children to ensure they are prepared for life after WCA; to have a firm foundation for Christ. I would not change my kids to any where else.
Williamsburg Christian Academy is a wonderful place where parents can confidently send their children and know that they are receiving an excellent Christ centered education by teachers who truly love their students. All of the teachers are certified and the school is dual accredited by SACS and ACSI. While the school is small, the course offerings are extensive. In addition, students of all abilities are challenged to use their God given abilities to their fullest. There are accelerated classes as well as educational enrichment for students with various learning disabilities. All of this in an amazing facility! Check it out.
We have been parents at WCA for the past 14 years and it has been a blessing to both our children and our family. The education as well as the extracurricular activities offered have provided a well-rounded education with a focus on Christ and their relationship with Him.
As a grandparent I cannot say enough positive things about WCA. My grandson attended grades 1-9 and my granddaughter, who is a senior this year, has been attending WCA since pre-school. There is absolutely no comparison between public school and the caring and compassion of the teachers and staff, the academic quality provided, the extra-curricular activities and most importantly the Christ-centered approach that is predominant without apology. How refreshing it is to attend a basketball game, awards ceremony, etc., and have it begin with a prayer - unheard of in a public school. The commitment and participation of parents is outstanding and ALL students are welcomed with open arms. I am so very thankful that my grandchildren were given this wonderful opportunity and I know they will carry the values they have received at WCA throughout their lives. I recommend WCA unconditionally.
My daughter has been attending WCA for a year now. She loves the school, the children, and the teachers. She has learned so much during the year. I am also impressed and amazed by the music program at the school, as well as the focus on Christian values. Everyone I've met from the school has been wonderful.
This achool was such a disappointment to my family. It was very un-Christian-like and the students and parents are not welcoming to newcomers. The entire school is one big clique.
