The school staff works hard to prepair their students for a solid future in High school and beyond. They focus not only on academics but also interpersonal relationships and community. Communication between teachers and parents is frequent and constructive. They take a proactive approach for students that may be struggeling by getting them the extra help they need while providing resources for the parents to use with their children at home. Elma is a great place to live and learn both as a student or a parent and member of the community.
Principl Leadership: Very poor. Teacher Quality: Generaly o.k. but needs vast improvement. Parent Involvment: O.K. {Would be better if the school did not try to find ways aroud notifing parets of issues with their child.}. Saftey and Discipline: Extremly poor {Would be better if the principal did not reward bulleys by punishing the victims.}.
Elma Middle School is a good school. There are quite a few activities for students to get involved in, and the teachers seem to care about the kids. If you call them with a problem, they do their best to solve it.
if the student is average then the school is fine otherwise students get bored if they are above average and below average students are left behind. If there is a disciplinary problem like bullying then it is ignored until it gets out of hand, it doesn't matter who is aware of the problem it is ignored
