Educational philosophy and approach to learning Everett Public Schools is committed to improving the district’s educational system to meet the needs of 21st century students. Special education program details Through inclusive practices, the Everett Public School District provides a continuum of services and all students with any disability in their least restrictive environment. Silver Lake Elementry has resource services that can support a range of disabilities. English Language Learner program details Depending upon their, English Learners receive varying support. Newcomers and beginners receive English language instruction. Newcomers receive native language tutoring. Newcomers, beginners, advanced beginners and intermediates are pre-taught vocabulary, and utilize a computer-adaptive English language and literacy program. The progress of advanced students is monitored, and support is provided as needed.

We regularly use our website, newsletters, conferences, Blackboard and In Touch programs for communicating important information to families.
