You can tell by the extreme score rating that the people who scored this school with 1s and 2s are disgruntled parents with discipline problem kids that blame the school system for their own failure in raising their kids and the high scores of 5's are the teachers trying to save their jobs... I had no problems with this school.

No communication. The Principal would not listen to us as parents until the district talked to her. Teachers seem okay and basically only communicate through email. Let students redo assignments many times until they get a good grade. Doesn't seem right, you know it or you don't. Where is the motivation to do it right and learn it the first time? Very disappointed with public schools.

Poor comunication skills with parents. Not that many options or suggistions. Dont seem to consider parent perspectives. Makes parents feel we dont know what we are talking about. (Principal)

Principle/Vice Princel = unsatisfactory Teachers = average They need to communicate with parents by answering their questions. When it comes to improving your students grades it's the principal/vice principles attitude of our way or the highway!!! They are unwilling to sit down and make a plan for improvement that everyone is comfortable. So I guess it's all in what you want. If you don't want to be involved with your child's education this maybe the right school for you. But if you do care and want to do what's best for your child I don't believe this is the right school for you, because they don't like working/cooperating with parents.

The biggest problem with this school is the principle. There is no communication or support.

This is the best middle school in Kennewick. Academic-wise, the curriculum is challenging and focuses on skills for life as well as the classic reading math, etc. There are many extra curricular activities including: 16 different school (everyone gets on a team), an evening choir, orchestra, band, lots of clubs, drama, and much more.
