Prior to the fall of 2008 this school was in need of competant, strong and visionary leadership and we finally do have that in our principal that was hired in the summer of 2008. He has put together a strong leadership team of parents and staff that are now taking ownersip of all aspects of the school and my children are benefiting greatly from this servant leadership.
When the administration changed, this school took a big step towards being close to perfect. Almost every teacher has an advanced post graduate degree, class size is small, students are help to a high standard both scholastically and behaviorally. I would check this gem out.
The Lynden Academy (Formerly known as LLL) has overhauled their administration and have turned that school around. Teacher to student ratio is better than any school in the Lynden area. The new spirit of joy and excitment is affecting all areas of instruction. My child loves going to school every day and I could not say this about her in the past. The overall rating of this school should be re-examined by this web-site!
LLL has a handful of great teachers, however the administration of the program needs an overhaul. Favoritism and nepotism add to the instability of the program when it comes to objectivity. The school lacks a good base of operations as the rooms are often overcrowded for the classes. The parent partnership of this program does not allow parents to choose which classes are available. Only a couple of classes are taught by accredited teachers.
LLL is keeping their standards high! Personal teachers with high teaching standards! The flexibility of the schedule works so well for our child with a low immune system. We are extremely impressed with LLL performance.
