They are a school that helps the special needs groups. They are on the end of every cutback imaginable and yet seem to still find ways to improve the lives of kids left out of the system. Whether behavioral, genetic most likely combination's. They work with process and consistency to better the future for each one, trying as best they can with what little they have to improve the outcome of the kids future. I have known examples of kids learning to actually communicate feelings and expressions even without speech but with other methods giving control which then allows the behaviors to change as more understanding of what is going on inside the kids heads. Helps everyone, families, school and most of all the individuals. Give them a sense of purpose and hope is seen from every side for each of them. This school unfortunately has lost there pool, a cafe/coffee shop let us not lose them completely. Let us consider giving back to those that have no voice and yet are in need so badly.

This is a 'special needs' school in our community that really needs our help. With all the financial cutbacks happening, the special needs kids are always the first to suffer. One case example, The pool, which I'm sure seems a luxury to some people, is a necessity for many of the residents for just being able to have some sort of stress free exercise and freedom from a wheelchair, walker, etc. This pool has been closed to these residents for about a year now due to cutbacks. Let us not push our special needs community back any further. We, as a community need to help each other and this school, after SO Many Years of service and hardships,I believe Fircrest deserves our help.
