Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

I visited Chase Middle School for the first time for the Veterans Day Program. What a wonderful tribute to our veterans. The choral group and the band were excellent. Chase has a great music and science program. Good job on everybody's part.

My child was set up by the principals and staff. they descriminated against our family and then interrigated him illegally,MADE HIM SIGN statement that was false (if he didn't, they threatened him he would be in more trouble) and took his phone to go through it to try to further set him up,then suspended him.the days he was out of class for the INTERROGATION, they marked him truant, then called me to tell me he was truant.THEY PULLED HIM OUT OF CLASS OVER A PERIOD OF TIME never letting me know that he was in trouble, but always called to let me know he was truant.then sent me letters stating the laws on child's attendance and how i could be held liable.wow.i found this all out after EVERYTHING was said and done.and on top of that after pulling both children from school district, they wouldnt stop harrassing us (weeks after they were pulled)....they would call constantly saying my child was absent.school district needs a makeover, and to especially get rid of the assist PRINCIPAL and Principal.BUNCH OF GOOFS THAT DONT KNOW EVEN WHAT THEY ARE DOING AS A UNIT.LOL.ImCURRENTLY FILLING SUIT AGAINST THE DISTRICT.THIS WILL BE RECTIFIED.

This incredible school knows all there is to know. Not only are they amazing academically, but Chase has an amazing music department, complete with choir, percussion, orchestras, bands, jazz bands, and impressive routines. There is also an amazing after-school extra-curricular program. They have everything from basketball to drill team, and from math help to guitar groups. Their students have a great, enjoyable time in class, but do admit that it is definitely challenging at times. Exellent teachers and successful principals complete this school, and make the students' lives just a little easier. With strong acedemic programs, impressive music programs, fun extra-curricular prgrams, helpful teachers, and relatable principals, this school is definitely in place for a 5-star review!

This school rates high on my parent expectations for my middle school student. My middle school student adores all her teachers , classes and staff and she is enjoying a dynamic academic experience at Chase. We are all very pleased with the education she is receiving here.

I am an eighth grader currently at Chase. A lot have changed scince most of these reviews. The athletic department is one of the best in the district. The music and drama department is top of the line. They have college jumo start programs and after school clubs. There are clicks but theres that stuff everywhere. Its life.

Chase Middle is like an airport layover. You have to go to middle school before high school. Not many teachers care some are so self involved you know all about the wedding plans of their grown children. Not your child's grades. The staff turnover is very high.

Should be a lot better. Good structure poor job of running the school. Teachers union stops the bad teachers from being weeded out. I have had two children go though Chase Middle School. Poor results. I was very active in the school.

I went to this school after knowing everyone from 6th grade, for 7th grade. I'm still a 7th grader (though I moved from chase and went to a HELL school) and I LOVED it. If you think this school is bad, try going to school i moved to attend. I am fortunately moving back to Spokane in June, and can't wait to go here for 8th grade. The music program is superb, the teachers are excellent. I had mrs.Palmer, Mr.Wortley, the orchestra teacher there(cant recall her name),Byerly-Adams , and mrs.Douglas. these are some wonderful teachers. I wish I could tell them how great they are to me. They are there to help you in everything and have the skills no other teacher I have ever met, ever had.

this school is one of the worst schools in the district. i'm a former student there and i hated it with a passion that still burns to this day. though i'm in 9th grade now. i was new in the middle of the year and thought that it was because i wasn't very social so i didnt have friends but it was because the school has problems, teachers don't care, kids there are cruel, clicky, and care way too much about their looks! worst middle school! i transferred to sac even though there were only 5 weeks left it was that bad. i don't recommend any student to go here unless you like being depressed. i'm writing a book about it.

Good music and percussion program, lots of advanced classes. I took advanced math again this year, and I found myself reviewing 4-5th grade math...

The staff at this school are unprofessional as a group, the principal is a lame duck, and the coaching often lacks any kind of heart. My child was saved from this den of misery after one semester.

Okay, let me say this. School is what you make it. I went to chase, and it's getting kids ready for high school. Teachers are NOT going to stand behind your child's back and remind them of their homework assignment that's due. If your kid is having trouble in class, they are not going to have to whole class keep working on the same problems. If they need help, they need to take the initiative to get help. That's what's going to happen in high school, too. Middle School is not supposed to get kids to start being independent and in control of your lives. And no matter what school you go to, you are going to have cliques. That's just the way it is.

This school has been a big disappointment. My child was going to school here. But he was anti-social due to the lack of support he received from all of his teachers. We relocated him to a private school and now he is doing better then how he was at Chase.

This school has been a big disappointment. It is probably fine for most kids, but our eighth grader needs accelerated learning opportunities which have not been available. Its outstanding music program dramatically deteriorated while my child was here, so that it is at best mediocre currently. The special advanced algebra class for 8th grade was cancelled just before he reached 8th grade, and the caliber of most of his English teachers has been shockingly poor. It has therefore given none of the advantages of a huge school, with all of the disadvantages. I can recommend it only in contrast to most of the other public schools in the district.

I currently go to Chase. It's awful. It's really click-ish. The teachers dont do much for discipline; fights happen often. The counselors are ok, but can't seem to take proper action against anything. The music program is great--but that's not what school is...

Very frustrating year. My son is in 7th grade and failing math and language arts. I had talked to the teacher mid year and she told me that with so many students she really only knew the kids in the honors class. We will be looking at alternatives for next year. Parents are not welcomed in the classes even after I offered to help. The band program is the best thing at the school.

I use to go to chase about 4 years ago, img currently 18. I remember this school as fun, but not educational, students were wild. So the teacher spent more time giving detention. In my overall opinion, try private school for juniors high students.

It's okay. Communication is getting better, not tops. Office people are not very friendly. My kids are strong academically, so it has worked out after I got through to the administation (2 months later) what my child needs. Great music program. If you need help, good luck. It has been hard to get response from the administration.

I have two children at Chase.the over all experience has been great all the staff is really nice and helps with all the issues that come there way.I couldn't imagine a better school for kids to be at, the experience is better than I thought it ever would be. My daughters love the work enviornment and the social enviornment. All the teachers work to help the students academically, socially, and get them ready for high school.

My son is currently a 7th grader at Chase. He and I both dislike this school very much. There is little supervision and when I have brought this to the attention of the principal, the response I got was that there are so many children to watch that they cannot watch them all. There are frequently fights at the school that the administration never knows about. My son is afraid to ride the bus because as one of the other reviews had mentioned, there is absolutely no supervision there. I have become very disappointed with Chase. I read these reviews before my son had started school here, and I guess I thought that it really couldn't be that bad could it? Unfortunately, my hard learned answer is yes it really is. I don't know what my plan is for my son, but I know we must do something different.

I will be homeschooling my daughter this year. She is the third child in our family to go through Chase and each time has been a huge dissapointment. Yes, the school is very clickish, and for girls it is overwhelming. 'Mean Girls' would describe girls at this age to a T. The stories my daughter brought home from school were very disturbing and I would wonder where the supervision in the hallways during school and outside before and after school were. With a failing grade in Math, and knowing that she would be pushed through, as were my sons, we had to do soimething drastic, home school. To our surprise she is looking forward to this, she is looking forward to not having to back into that environment. The peer pressure, teachers who enjoy to ridicule, rule breaking, is tremendous as at any middle school, but, what can the system do to change that?

I hated this school. Very clickish. Barely any help or sense of caring from the teachers. My students skipped 24 out of 46 school days and never heard a word, nor did the school take any action. School bus rides home took 45+ sometimes, when it is a 15 minute drive, do to uncontrolled children throwing things and screaming. I would not recommend this school to anybody, unless they have good looks and lots of money.

Chase has best mix of students- in every sense of the word. The teachers work hard to ensure all kids get the best skills needed for life and for school. I wouldn't want my kids to go anywhere else for their middle school years.

Very 'clickish' little to no diversity, little to no interest in creating a diverse, tolerant atmosphere.
