We attended this school for 3 years and have since moved out of the district. I must say that we miss it terribly! From the caring and always approachable teachers to the impressive involvement of the principle, this school is so welcoming and inclusive of all of it's student's. The parent friendly atmosphere combined with top notch supervision of the children always put my mind at ease, and I realize now that not every school has it as together as Hazel Dell. I appreciated the consistent and firm yet completely caring attitudes of the teachers - and their willingness to embrace each child's individuality. Thanks for taking such wonderful care of our children and we miss you Panthers!!

I am raising my grandson. I so beleive this is a very good school hazeldell elementary has a wide diversity in their students. The teachers are very concern for their student and do communicate to the parents which I like very much. When my kids were young they spent a year at this school now my grandson is going to hazeldell. He started with headstart there and now he is in third grade and doing well. Thank you for being here

I just finished elementary school and I ahve to say, this school takes the cake! I went here for 5 years and I recommend it to every adult with kids. Best school I've been to.

Our child just completed Kindergarten at Hazel Dell. The teaching and administrative staff have been wonderful and the curriculum excellent. Our son loves school and his teacher, and can't wait to start 1st grade. He has performed well academically due to the way basic skills are taught. His teacher has communicated with us well and appears to treatsall of her students in a way that makes them feel special. The staff did a good job orienting us to the school and the way the curriculum is taught prior to the start of the school year. This is a great school.

Very nice new building, but academic program seems to be lacking. Sports program is good, but music and art are hardly priorities.

The new school has made quite a difference in our children's futures. The staff works hard to ensure that all students feel safe, important, respected, and involved academically. There are so many after school activities to choose from, that will benefit every child in countless ways! Another benefit the students have are the faculty members of the extracurricular activities. They can learn a dance from a different culture, as well as how to play a new song on many instruments! The parents of Hazel Dell students are also an important part of the school. Volunteers are always encouraged and welcome for events during holidays and for Panther Nights, which are held once a week. You can also find parents helping out in the classrooms. Everyone has worked hard to make Hazel Dell Elementary the best it can be, and will continue to do so in the future days to come.

My son attended this school for one year and I knew instantly it was not a fit for him. The teachers did not provide good feedback and seem to only be able to operate with a linear student personality. Any students that went even a bit out of their 'ideal' expectations were instantly considered a problem. My son is very kenetic and needs to move a lot and because the teachers at this school would not even work with that he learned almost nothing the entire year and ended up being behind the other students his age. I moved him to Walnut Grove where they were willing to work with him and he is now almost totaly caught up and excells at math. I would never bring another of my children to this school.

I don't think that I would want my daughter anywhere else. It is a new school, excellent principal and teachers. It seems as though there is nothing that this school lacks for my childs development and well being. She loves it there and I am happy she is enrolled.
