I used to attend Desales and all the rest of my sisters (all 5 of them) also attended, there are many things about this school that could use some help and funding more than anything, but essentially what is important is the education and you definitely will see some high quality effort from the instructors and all staff in that aspect. Just the fact that it is a small school makes it that much more worth the money to go there because you can guarantee that your child will get the academic attention they need to succeed. Compare this to public schools where there are 10 times more students than instructors and a low chance of getting the right attention. When my child gets to the school age I will definitely be sighning her up there.

My whole family dating back to my great great grandparents went to DeSales. DeSales is nothing fance and could use some funding, but it really creates an awesome education and a good preparation for college. In fact, 95% of my older sister's class went on to a four university. The parents and alumni are so involved and are what make this school run. Besides a great education and strong faith development, this school has an o.k. band program(needs funding)but great sports programs-football(5 state championships),track(2),basketball(playoffs every year and most of the time state), and baseball(13 state championships!) So if you're looking for a small Catholic shcool with a great education, strong faith formation, and awesome parents and alumni; you should definetly come and join the fun.

I graduated from here, and my youger sibling still attends DeSales. The academic program is excellent- nothing fancy, but a good strong basis for college. The teachers will go through any lengths to help their students learn and grow. The staff is very dedicated and enthusiastic. More than 95% of my class went on to 4 year universities. The people in the community are definitely what makes DeSales special, a cut above the rest.As for the programs....... Music- Varies. Band tends to be small, but enthusiastic. I went through 3 teachers, so the program could definitely use work, and funding! Never enough money... Art...program is pretty casual, disorganised, but the teacher is enthusiastic and makes resources available to artistic students. Sports...beside academics, and faith, sports, particularily football and baseball are strong. Several state championships, and awesome coaches. Level of Parental involvement- Oh man, this school LIVES because of parents and alumni. Hope this helped!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
