We have been pleasantly surprised by the school. The staff has been very helpful and our child has gotten some very good teachers. The school has an eclectic mix of students. We have have never felt our children were anything but safe and involved, even though the class sizes are larger than we would prefer. There are several programs available (Excel, Marimba Band, Afterschool Dance, Children's Choir through Yakima School District, Math night, Library night, Skate night, Gymnastics Night). Although there is no PTA, there is a Boosters Club for parents who want to get involved. There is a need for more parents to get involved. We were not sure if this was the right school for our children, but after four years, we are confident we have made the right choices. The library and library staff are stellar. Currently, the principal is excellent as well, and has made some great choices.
