My daughter is in 1st grade and has been attending Inwood Primary for a year and a half. It is an absolutely wonderful school. It is very small, with only two classes per grade. The teachers are all great, the office staff is friendly and helpful and the school has a wonderful principal. Its test scores are higher than the surrounding primary schools and it has won several awards for being an excellent school. I've been very pleased with the experiences we have had so far.

About the tests

In 2009-2010 West Virginia used the West Virginia Educational Standards Test 2 (WESTEST 2) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading, math and science, and grades 3 through 11 in social studies. The WESTEST 2 is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of West Virginia. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level on the test.
