The people are welcoming, gifted, passionate about education and children, and faithful. The programs are challenging and dynamic. The families are a blessing to the staff and the kids. The partnership between the families and the school is strong and active. I am blessed to serve here and to have had a child receive an excellent education here!

Grateful to: Teacher

I am SO GRATEFUL for the pre-school teacher at Elm Grove Lutheran! Each year, I receive students from her classes that are fully prepared for the kindergarten experience. She is a phenomenal teacher with many gifts. She uses those gifts to help raise the children in her care into all that God has planned for them to be. She works part-time, but the hours she invests in her kids and her program go far beyond that. She has a passion for some of the littlest of God's blessings. She runs a dynamic classroom with purposeful movement and hands-on experiences. She is happy and positive and that reflects in all she does. I am SO GRATEFUL for you, Deb Margrett!

EGL gives the children the opportunity to learn in a way that recognizes and builds on their learning style, intelligence, and God-given talent. This is accomplished through diagnosis and careful planning by the classroom teacher providing enrichment and remedial experiences for students.

You will find that our teachers work hard to identify the needs of their students and define strategies that will help them develop academically, emotionally, intellectually, and Spiritually.

The school provides "on-the-job training for every child to learn, not only to make a living, but how to live a God-pleasing life. Students demonstrate this by their words and actions toward others.

Develops empathy: Strongly agree

The students learn and demonstrate what it means to forgive as God forgives. They learn how to live a life of witness to their faith in Jesus as their Lord, their Savior, and their Friend.

I go to school here, and the student to teacher ratio is AMAZING! There is an abundance of sports to participate in throughout the year.

I was a student at this school for several years, as did my siblings and some friends; however, we transferred out to an adjacent public school district due to the lack of gifted & talented courses and offerings, particularly in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) arena. While the school did a good job in maintaining small class sizes and a safe school setting, the STEM offerings at the school, particularly for math and science coursework, were significantly below average compared to adjacent districts like Elmbrook, Wauwatosa and New Berlin. If you have a gifted and talented child, or a child who needs special courses or offerings, this school may not be a good fit in meeting your sons/daughters needs.
