This is a great school, however if your child is not in the challenge program it seems like they do not reap as many benefits. The school is so focused on the talented and gifted program, that sometimes the 'regular' students get overlooked. These challenge classes get extra field trips, have smart boards in their class rooms, do special projects, and the other classes do not get these benefits. Additionally, some of the TAG students tend to make the other students feel less important often times. I would like to see more focus on the student body as a whole rather than just promoting the TAG program.

Roosevelt has the kind of environment that particularly enriches kids. From the activities, to the faculty, to the classic architecture, Roosevelt brings a traditional yet savvy education to our communities youth. Go Rough Riders!

Roosevelt is an excellent school. It is the home of the Challenge Program for the school districts top gifted and talented students. I highly recommend this program for all students who qualify.

Wonderful staff. they are always right on top of things. My kids did go there up until this year. All the teachers are very helpful and love working with the kids.

My children have been at Roosevelt for 4 years now. The staff is wonderful. The principal is highly motivated and is communicative with parents. She is present at all functions, and, is friendly and outgoing.
