Profile Completeness

ADVANCED

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

My daughter attended MSLS from 1-8th grade she is now in 9th grade. My experience with the school was very positive. She had very caring teachers especially Mr. Haugom, Mrs. Hernandez and Miss Smith. They were concerned about each of the students lives in the classroom and outside. She is excelling at her current school much in part to the wonderful staff there. The principal Mr Marks was invaluable, he ran a tight ship but was also very kind to the students and always available to the parents. What my daughter really benefitted from was the constant interaction with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. The classrooms were integrated and she had both hearing and non-hearing friends and even teachers. She is fluent in ASL and this is a skill I hope she continues to use.

I am very concerned with the middle school students behavior has really changed there's more violence and it seems like now the staff and administration have no control of the stundents whatsoever

I am currently attending this school. I have been here from 1st-8th grade and I am graduating in the summer of 2009. I recommend this school to all students looking to find a great, higher level education in a great environment where the kids are safe and well attended to. I give this school 5 stars; it is so fun to learn about sign language! Plus the school offers so many activities that all kids will enjoy throughout the year. All the kids need to do is prepare themselves to learn and have the drive to have an outstanding education!

This is an exceptionally well-run school! They provide challenging academics, a positive environment, and have few student discipline problems. I would recommend it highly to anyone!

I feel that mr. eary is a wonderfu; teacher he gives the students the attention that is needed. I feel that mr hougum is a good teacher but needes to be more strict. Mrs. smith is a good teacher because most of the time her class is very interesting becuase she mixes her personal life in with the teaching that she does.

this is a wonderful school. children are provided with an excelent learning environment. while my child attended milwaukee sign the principal was involved in class rooms which showed how much he cared and how much support there was in this school. the middle school teachers ecspecialy are great at what they do because they are specialized in thier field. I beleive that Mr. Eary is a very wonderful techer at MSLS. my daughter speaks very highly of him and so do I. Mr.Hogum is an excelent math teacher and not only provides nesecary knolege for the future but does it in an interesting way. and Mrs. smith is very involved in writeing and works to help individual students. Milwaukee Sign Language School prepares children for new expeiriences and is a perfect gacility for children to be safe and enjoy learning.
