I think that South Division is an OKay school for my daught to be going to. It doesn't really matter what kind of school she goes to as long as she gets an education because she's probably going to go to the same places where other children go for college.South Division is a very Multiculture school and that's very good. At least there's many different cultures all around the world going to this school. Even though she didn't go to a more eficent school, I'm still proud of her because of what she's trying to do. I know that some kids don't want to take testes, but you can't force someone to come to school. Other MPS school do that, but they'll make you work harder and do more things that makes your life more complicated.
South Division is a very Multicultural high school in which they aknowledge and embrace every culture. Within the high school there is a variety of AP classes in which students can benifit from because the courses provide good preperation for college and they are also helpful with making the transition from high school to college easy.In addition to South Divisons Multicultuarlism and Ap courses, they have wonderful atheletics and after school programs that any student would love to join and be apart of.
I am very pleased to have enrolled my child in South Division High School My child is receiving a good education from teachers who care about teaching students who want to learn. I applaud the violent-free-zone staff for the good work they do.
This school is not concerned about education one bit. All they care about is keeping their students in control by handing out 3 day suspensions like candy. This school is very unsatisfactory. The guidence department doesn't care about the students at all. Their tardy system is outragous by forcing students to stay in a room losing valuable classroom time while they fill out a sheet which asks why the student is late and how they can fix their routine in the morning. Most of the students don't even bother to fill it out because they socialize with the 'violence-free zone' staff. Overall this school is very unsatisfactory.
