My son recently graduated from the 8th grade at Walden, and both my husband and I couldn't have been more than proud. He received an excellent education from caring and inspirational teachers. We look forward for him to complete his high school years at Walden.

My daughter is in the 7th grade now at Walden and it has been a great experience. There were challenges moving from a traditional RUSD school to Walden initially in the 6th grade because the work load is more intense. The teachers are great, they let the students use their imaginations and work on many projects throughout the year. There is no worry of violence or bullying at Walden, it's just not allowed. The students have a responsibility to themselves as well as the other students. They reflect all that is Walden. It is a community. Anyone interested should know that out of the approx 150 applications rec'vd for 6th grade there are only about 75 slots. Apply early (Jan-Feb).

This is my daughter's second year at Walden III Middle School. This is a wonderful school and its small size promotes a family atmosphere. The teachers are exceptional in their abilities to relate to and instruct the students. The staff encourages the students to expand their imaginations and to be self-reliant. The school's policy requires tolerance of other's differences and self-responsibility. I would highly recommend this school to any student who values a good education in a smaller and less restrictive environment.
