These are caring hard working students with teachers willing to step outside the box and teach their students to give back. This is an important lesson in life. This winter and spring they have been supporting the North American Bear Center and will be wonderful advocates for the species with all they are learning.

By their donation to the NABC these little ones are being taught not only about wildlife but about the joy of giving. A good education is more than just learning about facts and figures.

I am pleased to see a school where teachers develop curriculum based on children's interests and exciting new uses of media. Promoting an appreciation and respect of wildlife through studying the NABC engages children and increases learning.

The Westby 2nd graders raised $300 to donate to the North American Bear Center after watching and learning about bears from the Lily Den Cam. Creative teachers and enthused kids = a GREAT school!

Because I feel that when children have to heart to raise money to help the American Bear Center, which is in another state, they deserve to be seen as a great school. It makes more people, more kids, get together to do great things when they see others getting together to do great things.
