Love this little school. True, your children won't learn a lot about the "real world" (sex, drugs, bullying, immodesty, etc.), but they'll have their innocence preserved & just be a kid. If we weren't at PVCS, we'd be homeschooling. We tried the public schools, but went back to PVCS 3 weeks later b/c the kids came home w/foul language, rudeness, & sexual/dating advances (3rd and 1st grade!). No thanks. I had a childhood. They should, too. No Common Core curriculum. They use 2 nationally recognized, strong curriculums. No revisionist history, political correctness. Outstanding reading program, phonics-based. Teach cursive writing, so our kids will actually have a signature & be able to read our country's original founding documents. High academic standards. PVCS students are a year ahead of the public schools (due to curriculum, small class size, lack of classroom discipline problems), We can attest to that fact. Our kids were bored during the 3-week public school experience--they already had learned the information the prior year. There are trade-offs w/a private school b/c they don't receive tax dollars, but as far as we're concerned it's well worth it.
