Both my daughters attend Cooper. I've been pleased for the most part. My daughter is in the Mariachi program. Cooper does offer alot of programs for the children. There is one down fall and I think this is CPS overall. My daughter is a "A" student but doesn't get recognized. There's no honor roll so the others that don't make it feel bad. But there's an asembly at the end of the yr. for those who brought grades up and get presented in front the whole school on stage. Very frustating and it brings morale way down. My daughter felt embarresd because she didn't get any certificates come to find out it was only for those who brought their grade up.

I really like this school. My son is thriving. There are many programs that offer tutoring after school, and the school serves the community well. My son is also enrolled in the Mariachi Program, where he is learning to play the guitar. The school provides the instrument, and the lessons. Communication with parents is important and the teachers seem to genuinely care about the students and their families. Over all, I am glad my son is attending this school.
