I'm a parent of three that attends this school that have went through principals within the a couple of years. I don't feel that the school is bad per say, i just feel that staff should be more helpful and cooperative when parents come with a concern for thier child. I feel that security there is a joke, i believe the school needs more security in place for our children, and more parent's need to play a part in their child behavior when responding to an adult.

Most people are commenting on personal opinions they have for certain staff members and not focusing on the most important issues. Good education and safety of the children out weighs anything else. The children are still not learning at the same pace as other students their ages, Math and Reading are very important, but so are all the other subjects. And the security is a joke. We need more funding to better education our kids and give them more things to do once school is over, besides hanging in the streets. Keep the Focus

Spencer has come a long way. Mrs. Palmer is a new principal with fresh ideas about what students and teachers should be doing. The school is going in the right direction under Mrs. Palmer's leadership. The students are really learning.

I really feel the literacty teacher, Mrs Shonta Muhammad, is an excellent instructor who is committed in helping the students at Spencer achieve great results and gain a quality education. She has really been a mentor.

Ms. Williams, now Mrs. Muhammad was an excellent teacher who pushed me to do better. She never accepted anything less. She was very inspiring, and although I did not understand everything she did when I was a student. I appreciate it now.

This school and schools within this area has limited funds and resources. Based on school funds and management of those funds, the school is probably operating as best as can be expected. Children with special needs should not attend this school.
