Chicago Academy has failed us. After my son was accepted to the school he has nothing but problems and was bullied all the time. He was afraid to go to school, his teachers became mean and we were told to go to another school. We took him to another school were he is doing alot better. The Chicago Academy kicked out the bullys and they go to the high school my son is at. At his new school the bullys don't bother him and we wish he went to this school at first. Chicago Acdemy does not care about all students just students who they want.

I am a current Senior at CAHS. If you notice the reviews from 2006, you will see many negative comments about anything possible. I have to admit, I hated this school as a freshman because it was new. CAHS began in 2005, and like any other school, it had to find it's path to success, and it sure has. CAHS has overcome many obstacles with its curriculum, students, staff, academics, extracurriculars, and facilities, but now, I can truly say this school has prepared me for nothing more than pure success. As a college prep school, they cleary enforce the idea of going to college from the second you step in the door. Their students are well committed to learning and attending college brought on by the staff itself. I can assure you that any student can succeed at this school, but the student has to want to get there.

I am a former graduate of CAHS and I must admit to the excellence that this school brought me. The negative comments made about the teachers and the curriculum are rude and should not be payed attention to because probably those who wrote them do not care about education. Throughout my four years that I've spent in this high school I found myself in a very supportive environment. The teachers are always there when the students need help. They are the ones who make sacrifices for their students because they want them to be the best they can. If you decide to join CAHS you'll find many challenges which are brought by Advanced Placement courses and believe me there's nothing better than an extra push in your schooling. You won't be disappointed and you can earn a reward at the end. If you're looking for a best experience here it is.

I'm a Senior here at Chicago Academy and part of the First graduating class and I have to say, Half the negative things said about our school aren't true. Our teachers have been there for us since the first day we started here and i've grown such a close bond with some of my teachers. Also our Counsler adn College Counsler have been probably one of the most supportive people, after my parents about going to college. I feel like I'm ready for college after everything this school has rammed into my brain. yah CAAHS! WOOOT

Starting this fall, in its fourth year, the school continues to make great strides with excellent teachers and staff. Extra help is always available for the child who puts forth the effort. The block style schedule means more time for student/teacher interaction and more time devoted to each subject. Teachers and staff who care and parents who care. That is what you will find at this small school.

My daughter is going into her second year, Great school, teachers keeps you inform about students progress. Teachers go above and beyond to help you out with whatever your needs are. Are they perfect, I haven't found anything to show me otherwise. My daughter loves the school, my wife loves the school, and I love the school. I don't know what they did to my daughter but now she working harder in school then she have ever worked before. She reading more, and she more interested in learning. Again this is a great school. They do offer honor class, my daughter has them.

Im a student here at chicago academy h.s. and I take offense to some of the comments that are being made about my school. Im Pres of honor society, and have had Ap classes.. Been on the honor roll since I started..Been in football too,There are so many extra activies to choose from.Im on at least 5 different clubs now..So if your a student here and you cant find something to do, thats on you. If ya dont like the teachers ya might try studying. As far as staff goes, our first principal was fine and now we have a new one, give her a chance. All my teachesr have been great..and My counselor for school and college prep couldn't be any better. So whats the problem? I'm ready for college and I learned that all here.

My son has been there for a year and I for one am very happy with the results. Are things perfect there? No. They are new and they do have a lot to work out but what makes a school successful is this: When I come to anyone in leadership there and say I have a problem they are more than willing to help me not only get to the bottom of it but solve it, together. The problem is many parents want the school to be perfect and they don't get involved. Your children's education is a partnership. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem. If you have concerns, speak up get on the PSG, talk to someone. They will work with you and that is what a great school is all about. I am looking forward to a successful year!

It is a new school and has gone thru alot of changes. and like most schools you have some good teachers and maybe not so good. but the ones that my children have dealt with have been exellent. The comment about there not being AP and honors is crap, my kids are on honors and my son enjoyed his Ap classes.. I do alot of volunteer work there and there are no major problems..no different then any other schols..So I am proud to have my kids there, And my son will be in the first graduating class, He is more than ready for college..He is President of Honor society..So much for the comment about not having honors??? He is also on the football team...plenty of sports teams..They will be fine and it will be a fine school given more time..Its working out some kinks..

This is not a good school. Students do not get a say in which class they choose to attend, and some of the teachers just don't care about their students. There are barely any extracurricular activities to choose from. Do not go here if you want a good high school experience.

Its a good school for academics but a lot of drama and chaos goes on. Not a good school and only recommended for the education opportunity.

The staff and teachers and inadequate and not capable of maintaining the success of this school. The educational curriculum is off track and well outdated and does not prepare the student for a successful path to college. There are no extracurricular activities currently at this school.
