Burley Elementary School

This school is fantastic, I have had lots of experience there. Its a joy for everybody there and everybody is so kind.

Our kids love Burley, and we do too. Top notch teachers, great administrators, and lots of smart, caring parents that really participate and help the school not only meet but exceed goals. The camaraderie of the kids, across of all ages is unusual and special.

My son is in 3rd grade and loves his school. Their focus is on literature and reading. The teachers are great and the parents are very involved. The diversity of the staff and student body reflects the area and city.

Ms. Randall and Ms. Perez are really a wonderful team. They are Pre-K teachers at Burley. Parent involvement is really outstanding and that is a winning combination for education. My son always wants to be there and that's always a good sign.

Burley is a great school, this is the second year my kids attend to Burley and you can see the improvement compared to their previous school. We love it!!!!

I have to say that I am very happy with the preschool at Burley. At first I wasn't sure how I felt, because my child needed to get used to being in a more focused atmosphere. However, there was good communication with the teacher. We love that parent involvement is encouraged! There is a wonderful mix of free play, one on one, small group, and large group work. I believe this class is truly prepping my child for kindergarten, without forgetting that this is a group of 4 and 5 year olds that still need nurtured.

Every single day we thank the heavens above for Burley School. It is a shining example of what is possible at a Chicago Public School. The excellence and commitment of the teachers there is beyond compare, and the administration is cheerful, positive and supportive. People pay thousands of dollars for educations that are of lesser quality than you find here. A stupdendous experience; I only wish we had found it sooner. Hooray for Burley!!!
