This school has become a great school! The principal, assistant principals & teachers work extremely hard to provide the students a safe and comfortable environment to learn. The students are challenged in every classroom from K thru 8. Everyone from the parents, students, & teachers have acknowledged the magnificent change this school has undergone since the new administration in 2011! Once you enter the building, you can see and feel the family environment at Cameron. The students are happy and eager to learn and the teachers are genuinely in it for the kids! The administrative staff have an open door policy and are receptive to parents and teachers.

The majority of parents don't give the new principal, vice principal, and staff a chance. The Teachers may need to improve on their teaching skills but the sudents also have to improve on their behavior skills.

Hello there! I am a mother of an Eigth grader at Cameron Elementary School, and I have' noticed that the school isn't very good. The students talk back to their teachers, the teachers aren't pushing the students to be more successful, and the principal is even worse than the old. The new principal does not greet any parents in Report Card Pickup and it's an absolutely disgrace after school. Mothers, Fathers, guardians, I recommend you to please not take your child there, think better, and let your child be in a more better school.

Things have changed at Cameron. There is a new administration. They are receptive to teachers, parents and children. It is a challenging neighborhhod but a new attitude will certainly help everyone!

I am a parent of a soon to be seventh grader. Cameron has to be one of the worst elementary schools that Chicago has to offer. The principle has no time for the students, nor their parents. In order to talk with the principle you will have to hunt her down(literaly). Most of the teachers are their just for the paycheck, and it shows. They dont actualy have an afterschool program, its just a couple of teachers that have been forced to stay.
