Bullying Not allowed, extra help always avaliable, excellent teachers.

If your child has no issues and is a quick learner this school is fine. I gave this school an average rating. I have 3 kids in the district, with one that graduated 2 years ago. The other two are in the middle school and high school. This is a safe clean school, however, if you have a child with any special needs or even a kid that needs some extra help, this school district is incredibly lacking in resources. They would rather push your child through than actually offer extra services.

This is a very appealing looking shcool, but as a former student I can personally tell you it's not a #1 choice. Not only do they put so much emphasis on sports but it almost seems as if you can't really succeed without being involved in at least one sport. And make sure its a popular one too, because the students here are rude and judgmental as hell. Mostly because the majority a super rich white kids like myself, but at least I was humble. The rest love to flaunt and show off and it wouldn't be surprising if your kids feels incredibly pressured by someone or something at least once a week. Other than that the school's academics are okay, but could be better. Again, they focus so much on sports they almost forget the actual learning sometimes.

Mount Sinai is not what it used to be. Cosmetically maybe more appealing than some other schools but what is being brought to the table academically...not much more.

Very expensive school district. It's worth it, especially if you have more than one child. Math & Science programs should be upgraded. Music & Art are essential. Heap of money wasted on lights for athletic field.

I love Mt Sinai High School because of it's great mix of sports and academics.

Mount Sinai's motto is 'The best in learning and living' and it truely goes by its words. However I do agree about not spending there budget correctly. They should direct the money more towards learning rather than a multi million dollar turf field and lights for night games

A very good district, great teachers and a great community, however I feel Mt Sinai might not spend their budget right. Some of the text books were literally used by current teachers when they were students, yet they spend lots of their budget on things like wrestling equipment, a new football field, and recently renovated the front of the middle school to look slightly worse then it was before they did it. Although they do have quality computers, and several other forms of quality equipment for education, they fail to treat everything the same, and they need to care a little more of the education, and a little less of the after school activities.
