My 11 year old daughter went here in 6th grade . She did not like it AT ALL. When I went to open house, it wasn't very clean. There was cockroaches everywhere and the office staff was rude when I picked up my daughter from school early. Now she goes to West Junior High in SW OKC in the Moore district. We had to switch schools.

This school is full of dedicated staff and students. Parent involvement is somewhat low, but is on the rise because of school-wide efforts to increase community involvement. According to the most recent data, the school earned a "B" on the state report card and is currently the 2nd highest rated middle school in the district. Yes, there is the occasional fight. It's a middle school, full of hormonal children. There are not, however, 'too many fights,' and if teachers think students are 'slacking off,' then those teachers need to reach out to the families of the students and the other teachers in the building for ways to fix that issue.

Too many fights go on not enough learning. Many kids think they are too cool for school and slack off.

This is a great school. It is full of caring and dedicated teachers. My child has learned, not only academics, but has learned life skills and respect for himself and others. The counselors are amazing. They are involved and know their students. They are not just there for grades and scheduling, they are there for students. I love this school and you will too!
