I have two children at London who have attended since kindergarten. I hope they will be able to go there through 8th grade. I really appreciate the staff. Everyone knows everybody and the school feels like a big family. The school has a community garden which the children learn to take care of and work in. They also have a wonderful dome shaped building that was built with funds earned by the community and it is used primarily for art classes. The art classes are taught by volunteers. Most of the materials have been donated or bought with fund raiser money. All in all I feel like London has a committed staff that works hard for all the kids going to school there.
London Elementary is an amazing school. My child has been at this school beginning at Kindergarten through to his current year as a First grader. The office management is always warm, welcoming, and friendly. The teachers are competent, caring individuals who create a family atmosphere for the children and parents. The school's older kids have a buddy system in which they learn to look out for the younger ones, creating a responsible and compassionate network among the students. Excellent staff involvement to foster a bully-free environment. The community support to the school has led to a growth in arts and music. We will be moving out of state and will miss this beloved rural school!
This is a great school. We moved and had to leave, but I wish we could go back. The teachers and everyone who work there are nice, and very willing to help and teach the children. It is a small school and parents are encouraged to help out. The older kids also help the younger children. With it being so small they know everyone, and have more controll over the students.
