Some of the teachers in this school DO NOT like to believe that some children are just good and want to learn. I see and hear the teachers giving the bad students more attention and rewarding them. My sister`s child is an A student with VERY GOOD behavior, but the teacher ALWAYS tries to pick on him. Trying to tear the sweet child down. He knows his work, but when he answers work correctly, the teacher tells him he is wrong. When another child answers the same question that child is told he is correct. Some teachers JUST DON'T LIKE A GOOD and INTELLIGENT child. Now this teacher has been in this school for MANY YEARS. I DO NOT KNOW HOW she IS ABLE TO STILL TEACH THERE!!! SOMETHING MUST BE DONE TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN!!!

Morton School Is now under control. In our hallways we now have safety patrol,We have lots of after school activities such as: Education works, Power Hour, Student Council, Book Club, Choir, NewsPaper, Queens In Training And Lots more.We also have in school activites such as: Ballroom Dancing, Peer Mediation, and Amongst Men. SO BEFORE YOU JUDGE OUR SCHOOL THINK ABOUT ALL OF THE EDUCATIONAL VALUE THAT OUR SCHOOL HAS TO OFFER.

I am a retired tired teacher who has worked for over 25 years in the Philadelphia School District. In November of 2009, I began to work part time at the Morton Elementary School. I am really impressed! The new Morton School with Zena Sacks as principal has quiet hallways, classrooms where teaching a learning is taking place, with all of this being accomplished by a competent and caring, administration, faculty and staff. The atmosphere is positive, and inviting with beautifully decorated walls and classrooms. The control and behavioral management of the students is compassionate and corrective, rather than punitive. According to the teachers and staff member with whom I have spoken, Mrs. Sacks has done a wonderful job in her short time at Morton turning the school around. Please ignor any bad reviews of the Morton School and come and judge for yourself.

My daughter attended this school for two years and I couldn't stand the way SOME of the staff had such a layed back attitude about things. It seems that most of them are there just for a paycheck, and couldn't care less about the gaining control of the school. It's like a zoo when u walk into this school! There seems to be only a chosen few teachers that really care about the children's education.
