My son Christopher attended Chrysalis from 7th grade through high school. Although he earned very good grades and was accepted into Western Washington University, he failed out his first year at Western. He struggled from the beginning and is now at Cascadia Community College and doing very well. My son was not the only graduating member of his class to fail at WWU. I have come to understand that not all Chrysalis teacher are certified, but there is no discount on tuition for classes taught by non certified teachers.. My son states that Chrysalis did not prepare him for the real world of college. Although hindsight is always 20/20, I wish I had done more research before choosing Chrysalis.

My husband and I are truly amazed at the transformation we've seen in both our sons (one in elementary and the other in middle school) since they've been attending Chrysalis School. Not only are they excelling academically, but our sons' moods have changed for the better as well. For the first time ever, they are excited to attend school each day. Our sons love all their teachers (who are top notch and highly qualified), and they love the curriculum that is designed around their personal interests and academic needs. Instead of being bogged down each evening with homework geared toward the masses, our children receive light but specific assignments that teach what THEY (as individuals with unique learning styles and requirements) need to learn. As a result, I no longer have to nag my boys to do their homework each evening. They actually just do it on their own. And they're learning a lot more than they ever learned in the public school system to boot! Most importantly, my sons are very happy and excited to go to school each day. Wow! How fortunate we are to have found Chrysalis School. :-)
