Lark Ellen School is the best. The teachers are great. The PTA works very hard. I feel the students are safe and learning is a priority.

I'm and educator and am so disgusted with the blaming on the parent instead of problem solving. Ive had two terrible teacher's at this school. I care about my son's education and it was always finding a way around accountability for good teaching and communication. I felt like the teachers' were not there to help but to fly under the radar.

Parent involvement is highly encouraged and appreciated. The teachers are extremely in involved in the progress and learning experience of each child.This school offers a variety of rotation which assist the children to participate in a variety of subjects such as music, science sports, history, etc. The teachers have a keen sense in discipline and compassion. I am very fortunate that both my children attend a school that is geared to their specific needs. They truly leave no child behind. The goals and current programs of this school with the help of each parent will make for a successful student.

There has been poor communication for going on three years now from this school. This school has been nothing but rude to me and uncoroperative. I show up to ever function with the hope that things will get better for my Son. He struggles throughout the year. I have asked to get some type of help tutoring for him, to no avail. The first year was great now after that the past two years all of his issues have been ignored, and swept under the rug. I refuse to accept this. There must be something done and soon. This school is one of the worst in the district, and not because of the children but because the way the children are treated.

my child was in special education at this school for behaviors. School and district have specialists for these children but NEED to be inserviced on behavior management and intervention and also on various disabilities. Such specialists can't even come up with simple goals! They don't know how to write plans to come up with ways to keep these children from escalating and becoming violent instead they send the children home and problems never get resolved,children aren't helped. The district specialists, and school psychologist and teachers need inservicing. Parents of children in these classes here PLEASE have your childs goals reviewed by Protection and advocacy lawyers like I did and that's how I found out that these specialists and teachers really don't know what they are doing. It's very scary. Now my child is being sent away to another school instead of them helping my child. he's better off I guess.
