Kindergarten was a nightmare. Be prepared s spending at least 45 minutes on Homework and as additional 30 minutes on reading everyday. After 8 hours in school if you child still has the energy and focus for more academics this is the place. Also they don't foster the love for learning...learning is a task that has to be done.

The 3 reviews all written on the same day praising the Kindergarten program is a little fishy. My son attends Kindergarten here and I know that most parents of kindergarteners I would disagree with 3 raving reviews. I have got so many complaints about my son not focusing and emphasizing working with him more at home. They have weekly spelling tests and towards the latter half of the year, the words get complicated but there is very little practice done at school. They expect parents to get the child up to speed without any assistance from teachers. The teachers tend to put in a lot of work and teaching into the hands of parents (even though we pay a hefty amount of fees) Either you work on your child or watch them fail. Values such as self-confidence, individuality, and social behavior are overlooked. If you child is already in the 90th percentile this school will be perfect, but if your kid is between the 80th and 95th percentile, someone who has the potential but needs the extra nudge this is not the place. You will see yourself wasting your money and struggling through this system. It s a dilemma for working parents.

I couldn't be happier with my child attending Washington Park. My daughter is in Kindergarten and I feel that she is is receiving an amazing education and understanding the concepts of everyday independence with self help skills and problem solving techniques. I love how they are supporting and building her confidence level. The teachers are incredibly supportive as well as talented in their own ways. I can see and hear just how much the teachers care for their students. My daughter raves about her day on the car ride home. She loves her teachers and the projects that she gets to work on. I think the variety of what my daughter is receiving is what really allows me to know I made the best choice in having her continuing on at Washington Park. I feel the work load is appropriate and beneficial to prepare her for first grade. The teachers are wonderful about answering any of my questions as well as flexible to meet before and after school. They always email in a timely manner and have several ideas about any concerning topics. I trust when I drop my child off that she will be cared for and kept safe while enjoying her day and learning new things.

Stratford is a GREAT school. My younger son goes to Kindergarten at Stratford school in Washington park, Sunnyvale. The teachers are awesome, very friendly, well educated and passionate. The curriculum is challenging and is followed with discipline. Stratford school carefully balances studies with extra curricular activities. My son loves going to school every day.

Stratford is an awesome school!! I'm so happy with what my child is learning. Her confidence level is building, her spelling, reading, writing, and overall listening capabilities have all improved since starting Kindergarten. I love the structure of what their day all involves. I think those who think this type of schedule is too much need to consider that this is a private school and therefore it should exceed the setting of a public school and being more structured is appropriate. My child comes home feeling happy and confident. Her teachers are very caring and well educated. I will continue to send my child to Washington Park!

Being a paranoid parent I did a lot of research before choosing Stratford school for my daughter. She goes to the one on Washington park. Both preschool and pre K has a balanced curriculum with speciality teachers for Science and Spanish and live piano is a Bonus! The teachers are warm, loving and creative! Now, She is in Kindergarten and loves going to school everyday. Their golden ticket system and stop and think method is great! She not only follows that in school but applies it at home too. The kindergarten teachers are knowledgable, energetic and loving! I always felt welcome and my question were answered as soon as possible. Their spring and winter shows are phenomenal! I eagerly wait to see my daughter's performance every year.we are extremely happy and would recommend Washington park campus to everyone.

My daughter started going to stratford school from pre-school and now she is third grade. It has been a wonderful journey so far. She has blossomed into a wonderful girl because of the well-rounded and balanced curriculum. The school has provided a great balance of academics as well as extra-curricular activities, sports and also character education. Just the things that a child needs at this age is all present in the school environment with loving and well qualified teachers and a balanced curriculum. I am not finished yet. My son started pre-school this August and as I know him, he is a handful boy with lot of energy. Three months in the school and with great efforts, love and feedback from the classroom teachers he has learnt to chanalize his active energy to constructive work. He has learnt some letters and numbers along the way, which he is not even conscious of. It is a wonerful school for kids and I would highly recommend it.

Our 4 your old attends the 3 half days/week pre-K program. We are from the UK and were looking for a school with a good rounded academic & arts program..and we found it. My son absolutely loves going to Stratford. The three hour session is split into approx. 30min blocks (art, science, freeplay, math, English, story time etc.). In addition to the class teacher, there are specialist science, music and spanish teachers who join the class for the appropriate sessions. The teachers really think about how to make learning fun for little children e.g. pounding stones into clay to teach them how craters on the moon were made. His main teacher is excellent. She proactively shares what we can do at home and gives regular feedback on how he is getting on. The class size is small. The facilities are very good with air con. classrooms and good play equipment and space. My initial concern was that it would be too aggressively academically focused, but I have found that the program is very well rounded enabling him to explore art, develop his confidence & character whilst having fun learning.

The pre-k program is awesome they teachers are very nurturing and involved. Unfortunately Kindergarten on wards the teachers are quite clueless and absolutely do not encourage social responsibility or awareness. Too little time for physical activity and breaks, and they expect the children to focus focus and focus, I don't understand how they fail to understand the relationship between focus and physical activity. In any case I fear that most children will come out feeling less confident with lower self esteems if they do not take action and improve on teacher quality.

As your child gets to post Kindergarten +, this school is the worst for your child. The teachers are clueless and do not have the best interest in your kid to succeed. Very inconsiderate and emotional torture on the kids brains.

Awesome, Love the school and the staff. Very friendly and work with passion. My second graders still have fond memories of pre-k with the projects and how they learned to read and write which is very reassuring to the parents that they have been nurtured well in school academically and emotionally.

Stratford is very unfair to parents and kids for charging 2 months of tuition as penalty for withdrawal ($3K). It is terrible as a school that teaches kids fairness and justice. Challenger and other top private schools do not do such thing. They will only charge for school days actually attended instead of imposing unfair penalty for early withdrawal.

My Son goes to school here and has been going since he was 3 yrs old. He is now going to Kindergarten this fall and he loves it. We like this school so much because they have a challenging curicullum and great teachers. We are impressed on what my son had learned since he was 3 yrs. old. The teachers are great and the staff overall are friendly. They have a nice campus. I feel safe with the amount of security they have. It is worth your money and I think its worth it. I recommend this school if you can afford it and for those that cannot afford it please do not trash the school and give them bad rating.

Perhaps the school gets better for kids as they enter the grade level, but unfortunately the teachers fail to understand the psyche of a preschooler or Pre-K children. No focus on lunch time or playing, its all about learning. I feel there should be a balance. Expect a lot of complaints about your child every time. Wish there was a better positive reinforcement philosophy to build the child's confidence levels first.

Why dont they rename this school to Stratford Business school! Or better yet - Scamford. Yes, the school is ok for studies and all - but it is hellish expensive. And the school has a lot of other ways of making money. Rather than give details on what the kids will learn in an upcoming year, they give a very detailed tuition policy with all sorts of disclaimers. Its a total franchise - interested in making $, but it happens to be in the schooling/education business. Think of it as similar to a Medical HMO! Most parents who have relaxed jobs send their kids here - given the amount of participation the school needs from them. At roughly ~ 20k per year (Jan thru Dec), why not just call the school Stanford???

Preschool teachers should try to understand preschoolers' personality and motivate them to participate and perform well in the academics. Teachers failed to do so with my child big time. Instead they complain on everything and it is very disturbing for the child emotionally. i wish there was a 0 star rating.

My daughter is a student in Stratford-Washington Park. She loves to go to school every day and enjoy learning everything at school. Teachers are nice and the curriculum is wonderful. My daughter really thinks her school as an 'extended family'. I'm really happy for my daughter's loving for learning here and strongly recommending to parents in our neighborhood!

Wonderful school! My elder daughter is in middle school and has been attending Stratford since Preschool. At every step of the way the teachers have been capable mentors and the administrative staff have been very proactive and helpful. We feel that this school has the right mix of focus on academics and extracurricular activities. It is amazing to see the level of parent involvement! Parents make as many friends as the kids every year! No wonder we are sending our younger daughter to the Stratford Preschool program as well. It is the most safe, disciplined, and creative environment we can think of.

I love Stratford. My son is in Middle School and the first time he attended Summer School was when he was entering 5th grade. He improved so much in his math and writing skills. Currently, he is in public school. Last summer he attended Camp Socrates and really enjoyed the robotics class. He loved playing badmitton during P.E. and seeing the BMX performance during an assembly. He made some good friends that he still remembers.

I have to say that I am 'in love' with Stratford. I am not only a parent of 2 Stratford children, but I am a staff member as well. My child started kindergarten this year, and I am amazed with the things that the class is learning. The teachers are so kind and loving. The school s intentions are good, and always in the best interest of the children; they always come first!!! If you have an issue with something, you can go to the principal or teacher and can be assured they will do whatever they can to help you. It hurts me to see such negative things about the school. It is important to remember when choosing a school that often the customers who are satisfied with the school do not share their positive experiences on websites. Book a tour and see for yourself why I truly love Stratford!

I love Stratford! Since my children have started at Stratford, I have seen such a change in them. They love to come to school each day, in fact they don't want to leave in the evening. The school has a wonderful curriculum, and the staff is so warm and caring. The administration seems to really know what they are doing and not only care for the teachers, but for the children. Stratford knows the potential that children have, and have a wonderful way of getting them there. I couldn't have picked a better school for my children!

My son is going to this school from last 3 years. I found the teachers to be very knowledgeable and caring. The individual attention kids get here is amazing, this is pretty evident in the parent teacher meetings. I am often surprised how much they know about my kid, his strengths and weaknesses, as it very well match my understanding about my kid. The most amazing thing we found when he was in PreSchool and PreK was that, his Principal would stand outside daily morning near the parking lot and wish each kid good morning by his/her name! I am not sure how many other schools / principal's can do this.

My child has been going to preschool at the Stratford Washington park campus for a year. I like the curriculum, teachers and the classrooms. There are also plenty of opportunities for kids to do public performances, which is really nice. However, the administration/staff could be improved. The current drop-off and pick up procedures are too painful. The staff could be more respectful towards the parents, eg: parents are repeatedly told to hurry up and not 'talk' in the parking lot, never let go of their kids hands even for an instant. In general, parents are treated like kids!

Many parents enroll their children here because they believe they are paying for a higher than average standard of academics. We have not found this to be true for our children. The teachers at this campus seem to be very stressed out and the principals are outrageously unqualified. One standard of a great school is longevity in their staff, which this school does not have. We have decided to put our children in public school and hire a tutor. We will save a ton of money and hopefully our children will not be so stressed and unhappy about going to school. Inexperienced staff, high turn over, inexperienced principals = children who are stressed and dislike school. This has been our experience at this highly overpriced pressure cooker of a school.

Parents beware and do not enroll your children here. The school accepts an unlimited amount of applications with a non-refundable fee, even though they know your children will not get in. The preschool had a new principal last year and the school went down hill fast. She is young, inexperienced and does not treat people well. She dresses like she is going to a fashion show, not a preschool. I just heard from a teacher that more than 5 teachers have left the campus this year. In general the leadership is terrible, right up to the top. The school lacks long term experienced staff. The school was sold recently and has gone downhill since the new owner took over. A school that charges this much should be able to keep staff, but they are so disgruntled it is bad for the kids. I have pulled my children out.
