I love Charles Carroll Elementary. I have seen a lot of changes over the last 5 years, but they have been mostly good. The staff is readily available and easily accessible whenever we need them, my children and I have always been treated with respect, regardless of the situation, and the teachers and administrators genuinely care about every student in the school. I am thrilled that my family has become members of one of the oldest schools in the county! There is a lot of history at CCE and many of the families there now have had past generations attend! It's exciting to be a part of something that is so important to our small, close-knit community!

I am very impressed with the high quality of teaching at this school. The teachers and administrators care about the students and their progress. In a small school the students are able to receive a more personal learning environment

Charles Carroll elementary has turned out to be a huge disappointment. There are some exceptional teachers but they get no support from The principal I wouldn't recommend this school.

The teachers have been wonderful for my son who has ADHD and they have been there every step and reported to me on a daily basis. I have been pleased with the 1st grade teacher and the special ed teachers.

I have had the unique opportunity to work in this school as well as have a child attending. This is a wonderful school. I am so pleased with the learning that goes on in my child's classroom.

The school has progressively become more unorganized. I have 2 special need children and I often feel as if both they and I are being peniolized on a regular basis. On more then one occasion the school has sent my children on the bus even though I submitted the paper work to pick them up. My children were sent to a home with no adult present. The vice principal has been very helpful and attentive however the teachers are not and are often angry and seem to hate thier jobs and any child who is not perfectly behaved at all times. I have 3 boys and they need strong teachers who understand individual learning styles.

Charles Carroll Elementary School is a public school with a private school atmosphere. The principal, teachers and parents all work together as a team to nurture their elementary school students. I couldn't recommend a better school to send your child! Mr. Dorsey, the principal, is an exemplary role model for other principals to follow.

I have noticed in the past two years the teachers in this school are getting worse. They do not want to teach our children. They want children that already know what they are doing. There is more work for the parents and less for the teachers. If I wanted to teach I would home school my child.
