Fitchburg Arts Academy

fitchburg arts academy is a great school. i went there myself and i can honestly say that the enviorment was not only a confidence booster but that it gave me a new way to express myself. the teachers there are wonderful, each of them take the time to form a true realtionship with their students. they have a very unique way of infusing art into all of their subjects so that students learn as well each subject that they are learning. there are rarely any physical altercations or fights within the school, unlike some other schools. if a student is falling behind or not understanding a certain subject at FAA there are many oppurtunities for them to seek extra help before and after school. if a student needs to be challenged more, than teachers go out of their way to make sure that they are given work that helps them reach theri full potential. after school there are many clubs to be joined as well as dances and gatherings to attend. if a parent is unsure about what middle school that they want to send their child to, i strongly think that they should consider looking more into the school at their website: www.fitchburgartsacademy.org

In no way do I think FAA has deserved its high ratings. I attended this school, and to be honest it was absolute chaos. The adminstration does NOT know how to set fair rules. Teachers there are generally stressed, and although some were very good, others taught me basically nothing. Bullying is alive and well in all grades, unfourtunately. FAA is an "art" school but in no way do they really let students EXPRESS themselves..I felt as if they treated me like a little kid, instead of a thriving, valuable member of a COMMUNITY. This school was really great in its first years of operation, but I assure you it has plummited.

I love this skool. There are great classes and they r small 2. We do lots of art!
