GreatSchools.org new ratings and evolving measures of school quality

As the leading national school ratings resource for parents, it is imperative that we continually refine and evolve our understanding of how schools are serving all students. After conducting a review of available data and incorporating the perspectives of experts in academia, education policy, civil rights, and parent-facing organizations, we developed new methodology for two key measures–the Equity Rating and the Summary Rating.
