Connecting with mamás y papás

This is the first installment of GreatSchools’ Parent Insights webinar series, produced with the support of the Charles & Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation. We share what we learned in our effort to understand the best ways to engage Spanish-speaking families. Included are insights from our research with experts, partners, and parents, as well as our review of the broader research landscape about the best ways to reach, engage, and educate Spanish-speaking mamás y papás.

We consulted with Hispanic media organizations, education nonprofits, and advocacy and family engagement experts and learned a lot about which strategies have worked to reach and engage Spanish-speaking families. We also surveyed a broad range of Latino parents to learn about their educational concerns and media habits. You can watch an on-demand recording of the webinar below.
