Our oldest child went to Grace in 2012. It was such a great experience that we put all our children there this year. I love the small class sizes, teacher website, Grace teaches kids to be responsible, and the amount of work is steady but not burdensome. My middle school grade child says the work is more challenging than public school.

The small class sizes and M-TH classes encourages kids to pay attention and do well. The teachers also seem a lot happier thus more encouraging and able to get through a lot of material. Lastly, if your child is heavily into sports, orchestra, drama, etc., the ending of classes at 12:30 every day helps them in their pursuits.

The teachers at Grace Academy are encouraging and motivate students to excel. One of my children, at age 13, took the PSAT and scored in the upper 25% of sophomores, nationwide. She is a good student and enjoys the interaction of her teachers and classmates. Regarding the younger classes, sometimes there are communication issues, but with a quick email, these issues are usually rectified. The same is true for the administration. If I have ever had an issue, I could always contact them by email, make an appointment or speak briefly on the phone. If the principal was not available, then someone knowledgeable was always able to assist me. This is our 4th year at Grace.

The majority of teachers are excellent, encouraging students to achieve. Many of these teachers lead by example. However, I have run across a few that are close-minded and unwilling to step outside of the "box." In my experience, the administration itself is very ineffective in communicating, rarely answering questions and/or concerns. The principals are unavailable, even going as far to not have an email address listed for them. They do a good talk at the information meetings so be sure to come with a lot of questions as this may be the only time your questions will be addressed. Not a worthwhile investment.

I have a rising senior & his first experience in a private school was last year at Grace. Moving him to Grace is the best decision we have ever made. He is very challenged in his Honors classes & he loves the open discussions & interactions with teachers. I don't have to ask him to do homework - he enjoys being prepared for class now and even asked to take an EXTRA class during his senior year! Grace is definitely worth the investment!

Grace Academy has been wonderful for my 4yr old. She comes home singing and reciting all types of songs and scriptures. Not to mention spelling and memorizing new words every week. The small ratio of students to teachers has been a plus for her learning.

Grace Academy is an excellent school. My three year old daughter goes there and is learning what I used to teach kindergartners when I worked in the school system. The teachers are excellent.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
