This is an excellent Elementary School within Baltimore City. The teachers and staff are friendly and extremely involved with the children. They have some of the best Pre-K and Kindergarden teachers in Maryland. The staff of Westside Elementary School goes above and beyond for their pupils and I am proud to say I am a parent of a student who attends this wonderful school.

I really don't know what to say about westside they have sure went down hill. I am taking my child out of westside she really did learn more at home. I teaching my daughter how to spell three letter words westside still teaching her, her ABC's. This school is not for learning.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Maryland used the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and grades 5 and 8 in science. The MSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland.
