This is a middle school that can benefit from more community involvement. Like most things that require change, it will take everyone involved to get it done. Simply making observations about what may be negative, does not help solve the issues. There are great teachers and students here.

School Administration is not supporting teacher's efforts to create a positive learing environment. Out of control students are being allowed to run wild without consequence to rob the other students of their right to a quality education.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Maryland used the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and grades 5 and 8 in science. The MSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.
