My daughter attended their and I was very disappointed! The teachers were young and seemed unable to deal with the children properly. They came across as unconcerned about how the children actually do in their academics. Lots of yelling.

All 3 of my children have or is going to Bryant. My older 2 are in magnet programs that reflect the education they recieved here. All of the teachers not only remember my children, but me as well. It is up to the parent to be a part of their childs education. Children are at schoolto learn not play on playground equipment. Look at they area around Bryant. This school is lucky to have the teachers like Mrs. Welch that gives our children a start in this world. Thank God for Mrs. Mayes for giving our less fortunate kids balance through out our children's elementary school experence!!!!

Bryant does have very good teachers that care a great deal about their students. On the issue of no safety patrol to help students cross the street. That is not allowed for the safety of the students. The pick up in the parking lot in the back keeps the students from having to cross the street. Even the adults cannot cross the students according to city and district policy. Yes, there is a working PTA, but with very little participation from parents. Parents have no interest in helping with the PTA. So what do we do? The focus of the school is to teach the children reading and math. There is some playground equipment and some teachers do take their children out to play. Playground equipment is very expensive and without a strong working PTA there are no funds to purchase any.

About the tests

The OCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Oklahoma.
