A great small school! Has provided my child with a great education. I love that it offers free college courses for my child.
This is a great school. Small classes and exceptional teachers have really impressed me. There are many events and ways to get involved. Classes have 10-20 students! I can keep on top of home work by checking out the teacher pages at www.luzacademy.com The curriculum is excellent. I am really impressed by this school.
I really just want to tell everyone to stay away from this school. There is no discipline, and this school offers no opportunities in developing your character, its horrible and non-safe. Parents have no say, and theres is little or no involvement.
Avoid this school at all costs. Do your child a favor and send him or her anywhere but here. We're sorry our son wasted four years at this school. Communication from teachers about our sons progress was difficult if not impossible to obtain. The class sizes are so small...There is absolutely no excuse for the lack of communication. I give this school an 'f'.
The school has been a good experience for my child, but I believe that there is room for improvement in the discipline in class. For being a college oriented high school there is a lack of control in class. The teachers have been great and so has the staff. The classes that are offered are great.
I enjoyed this school very much!
Luz Academy has an excellent early college program. My daughter has had the honor of being accepted to The National Honor Society thru Luz. The teachers have all been cooperative.
Most of the staff is very respectful and helpful. The assistant principle is an exception. He tries to control everything and exaderates the smallest things. All of the teachers are very dedicated to teaching, but they do not have very good dicipline techniques. since it is a new school, there are few extracurricular activities, but they are also plenty of chances to create new ones.
The assitant principal seems to run the show! The principal is a humble man but needs a better right hand person to support him not contradict him.
