great principal, awesome teachers, they don't get enough credit with all the behavioral problems and learning disabilities they have to deal with daily
I went to this school years ago and i can really say its nothing like it used to be. The staff have attitude problems towards parent and the princlpal is really no better. She cares about only herself. My son which is is 1st grade gets bullied all the time and im always at the school. Its to the point he dont wanna go to school. His teacher even said she think i should remove him because shes tired of things happening to him. I called the regional office and have not heard nothing back and sure dont see a change. My son has been followed home and assulted by a 6th grader he dont even knowand the school was notified about it. Another time a boy punched him in his face and when asked why he did it he said he just felled like it. The school work they teach in 1st grade is below the level it should be. My son went to school in Maryland and was learning above level things in pre k and I never had to worry about anything happening to him. I can go on and on about this school. The only time since my son been to that school its been good was when the man principal who was in the army was there. It was never this kind of problems with him around. I hope that school change or close down
From my point of view there is too little being done about the kids that are roaming the halls at all hours of the school day, The fights that have been going on afterschool, and the fact that there is little to no parent teacher relationship. I understand that there is a problem and that they are trying to fix it, but where is the principal when all of this is happening. The teachers do care but it is hard for them when it looks like ther is little support.
Daroff is a pretty good school, but has its ups and down like every school there is. The teachers have a general concern for their students and parents. There needs to be more afterschool and extracurricular activities that will provide a greater appreciation of school for the parents, families, and students.
